bikinis in january

woke up my normal time yesterday, but as i was having breakfast and bidding goodbye to dawn and chloe, both who had visited me over xmas break, i ended up having very little time to dress warmly and accessorize appropriately for the wintery weather. Furthermore, i had just taken an almost weeklong break from work and had to get back to the routine of dressing into work clothes and donning all the extras all before 7am. So, i went out hatless and gloveless to meet the january chills...
and chills indeed. After a relatively warm weekend, and nice sunny weather on monday, the temperature just went down by 15 degrees..to 15 degrees! yay! (15 fah = (15-30)/2 degrees)
Unfortunately, some window dresser at jcrew had a very sick sense of humor and had put capri pants, singlets and flirty cotton dresses on the window display! For spring break! at cancun! Hello??? r you freaking kidding me? So shoot me you fashionistas, but i can't and will never understand why january is when coats go on deep discounts while also time to market summer clothes? I know they have to conceptualise and mass produce their designs way ahead of time, but marketing it too? so people can buy it and boast to their friends they bought this cute new dress from jcrew that they cannot wear till march anyway, and by which time their friends would have also purchased them, at a 30% discount? no wonder specialty retail isn't doing so hot lately...
ok enough ranting, bedtime and remember the hat tomorrow!...
