sending ruoying back to school

Ruoying was in town the entire week and we spent a lot of time hanging out, shopping in Soho and checking out new eating places. So it was sad when I sent her off to the airport today so that she could get back to Lansing in time before school began on Monday. Poor girl was stuck in the airport for 6 hours though because her plane couldn't take off due to technical problems, and had to wait for another flight. In the end she missed her connecting flight and the airline is putting her up in a hotel. Such bad luck... given that this was the 2nd time she met with such troubles, we concluded that there was another logical reason why the airlines were going bankrupt, beyond inflated pensions liabilities, problems with unions and high oil prices =p They had to spend extra to house their passengers in hotels everytime they caused flight delays...
