corporate raiders
Went to the spanking new Bloomberg building for training yesterday evening. As usual, we didn't learn much, but we had a lot of fun raiding the world class pantries in Bloomberg... There were 5 types of chips, a dozen types of candy and soda and a top of the line coffee maker. So there we were, a group of well dressed, well heeled bankers scrambling in the most undignified fashion for a bag of chips or a can of soda...hehe... v. unglamorous
We all came to the conclusion that the Bloomberg pantries were only a way to keep their clients (aka us) happy and complain-free while we pay oodles and oodles of money for them to maintain the Bloomberg terminals in our offices. Maybe the ridiculously well stocked pantries and the gleaming new open-concept offices were just there to wow the clients, while the employees slaved in the bowels of the building and have access only to bags of lipton tea and sour coffee. Just a thought...
