uneventful wkend

Uneventful weekend. All I did was study, buy some books about travelling to live vicariously through the authors and watch Clean last night with a bunch of friends... Maggie Cheung looked a lot more haggard than she used to be when she was in her 20s, but she's still a very ethereal looking 40 year old, druggie with big hair... The film got mixed reviews amongst my companions though. Some really liked it while others thought it was too contrived and that it was a tailor made vehicle for Maggie to showcase her linguistic prowess (she speaks cantonese, french and english).. ah well, but its undeniable that she's a really good actress... it was pretty heartwrenching watching her cry on the big screen. and those cheekbones... tsk tsk...
it was a beautiful wkend too, unfortunately i spent most of it trying to study... can't wait for this torture to end...
